Energy Wellbeing Service

Is your house cold/damp/difficult to heat? - We can help you find some solutions.

Our aim is to improve energy wellbeing for people/whānau who are stuggling. We provide education, specialist advice and access to energy-saving equipment to households experiencing energy hardship. The goal is to enhance wellbeing in the whare, improve energy knowledge and create sustained change.

Our energy wellbeing service can provide these options to you and your whānau:

  • General advice on saving energy in the house

  • General advice on reading and understanding power bills

  • Arranging a power assessment including reviewing your current plan, how to change plans/providers and ensuring energy costs align with ability to pay

  • General advice on healthy home standards and directing people to other support services

Tautoko Hauora - connecting with health and wellbeing

The Tautoko Hauora service supports people who are not enrolled in general practice or who are enrolled but are not visiting their general practice teams as often as they need to.

Our Kaitautoko can support people to access primary health care and social services in Canterbury. They are a mobile service who can carry out home and community visits when appropriate.
