Learning to live a better life

We plan on 2021 being our biggest and best year yet in using our life and work skills sessions to lift clients’ lives and give them a new beginning.

It starts with a big push on digital literacy because we know how important internet skills are for people in their daily lives and in job hunting.

Many of our clients have difficulties getting a computer to work for them, but we have found it only takes a few friendly lessons to fix these problems and blocks.

Literacy Aotearoa is running driver licence theory sessions alternating with digital literacy sessions at the City Mission this year and the first one is already full!

We have many, many more sessions and they are supported by a big pool of highly qualified volunteers who many times can offer one-to-one support.
